Layered Up.

Cold weather means layers & keeping warm. Staying warm doesn’t always mean we need to throw on sweats & call it a day, we can still rock a cute outfit in snow or shine. In this look I’m wearing just enough layers to keep me comfortably warm. (let’s be real it was snowing outside and I HATE the cold so I’m never really warm.)

So the camo jacket I’m wearing in this look I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED WITH. It’s from a great little shop called Hell and High Water. The only bummer for you is this is a one of a kind piece.. (so sorry you can’t have it) BUT the cool thing is this shop has some other cool custom pieces & insanely cute graphic tees. The best part is you don’t have to feel guilty about splurging on a custom piece of clothing. Every custom-made shirt from Hell and High Water  you purchase, a portion is donated towards a pediatric art therapy program for children coping with the emotional stress and trauma of cancer & its treatment. Can you just say hearteyes all around. I love when spending money on yourself turns into somehow helping others. Gets a total thumbs up in my book.

Underneath my badass Hell and High Water camo jacket I’m wearing a plain black hoodie. You can literally find a black basic hoodies anywhere, I’m actually wearing a Victoria Secret hoodie. The reason I added a sweatshirt underneath my camo jacket was to add a layer effect & keep me a bit warmer outside in the snow. Underneath all those jackets I’m rocking one of my all time favorite brands Tribe Kelley. The top I’m wearing is the Island Hopper Tank. I’m in love with this little form fitted razor back cropped tank. It’s seriously so comfortable due to the soft fabric and has somewhat of a sporty look when you take off your jacket. My opinion anything from Tribe Kelley is 100% worth the splurge.

I know what you’re thinking already with my top choice (a crop top in the snow is she stupid??) Nope… Free People has got me cover with these slimming black high-waisted skinny jeans so my stomach isn’t exposed. I’ve blogged about these jeans before but they are literally the only jeans I will wear from now on. They have a stretchy materially so they aren’t stiff when you’re moving around. (I personally hate stiff jeans more than anything!) I purchased my pair at Macy’s. Unfortunately the Free People site hasn’t been carrying this style of denim. Macy’s is already sold out of the pair I have. So I put a similar pair of free people jeans in the Macy’s link. Snag yourself a pair while you can these babies sell like hot cakes!

IMG_7507.JPG Now for the shoes… I DO NOT RECOMMEND WEARING 4 INCH HEELS IN SNOW. But this outfit call for a little bootie that had a pump to it. These black leather booties are from Steve Madden. They are actually super comfortable when you’re not slipping around in the snow. Might I just add I actually did not fall in the taking of these photos (be proud of me gypsies, be proud!) I purchased these about a year ago. So sadly this exact style isn’t available anymore, but I did include a very similar pair in the Steve Madden Link.

IMG_7504.JPGIMG_7501.JPGWhat completes an outfit is always the accessories. For this bundled up look I decide to throw on a beanie. I’m wearing the Black Road Tripper from Tribe Kelley. I love the slouchy, thrashed style of these beanies and they are really warm. Hate to admit it but I basically have every color in these. They are a perfect accessory for any winter look. They are also the perfect gift! I definitely got all my friends one of these beanies for Christmas and they are just as obsessed as I am. Like I said earlier Tribe Kelley is always the right company to splurge on something for yourself, I have never been disappointed with a piece! As for my other accessories, I love to wear as many rings as my fingers can fit! If I see a cool ring I snag it up right away. So my rings are pretty unique & from all over the place! My last accessory has to be my favorite. I’m wearing a sliver Giving Key with the word strength on it that was actually given to me by someone I care about. So every time I wear it, it definitely puts a little smile on my face.
