Feelin’ 22

I don’t know about you but I’ m feelin 22! If I do say so myself I plan some pretty amazing trips. So I figured why not blog about all the details on my birthday Malibu get away! So I heard about Malibu Wine Safari on Instagram ever since I saw it, it was at the top of my to-do list! So why not grab a couple of my favorite girlfriends & drink some wine with Stanley the Giraffe to celebrate becoming another year wiser.

Where We Stayed : Homewood Suites Agoura Hills

The biggest pain of this trip was trying to find a hotel near the Wine Safari. The Safari is up in the hills of Malibu so there is not many hotels near by. I look for hotels near the beach in Malibu and that was going to cost me about $1,200 for two nights. YIKES I KNOW. The hotel we ended up staying at was amazing & not to pricey. We got a nice little suite with a kitchen. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Best part about the hotel was the location. We were in the middle of everything! 12 minutes from Malibu Wine Safari, 15 Minutes from Malibu and 25 minutes from Santa Monica Pier. The hotel also shuttled us to and from the wine safari! I’ve never been Wine Tasting before and I’ve wanted to go since I turned 21. This Wine Tasting def set the bar pretty damn high. It was $180 per person, for a full lunch that consisted of a sandwich, salad, & dessert of your choice (which was seriously delicious), tasting 6 wines 3 whites & 3 reds (I somehow had 14 but who was counting right?), & getting up close and personal with Lama’s, Zebras, Water Buffalos, Stanley the Giraffe, Camels & so much more, plus a crazy jeep ride through the vineyard! Our tour guides were also great, very fun and full of jokes. (the jokes got better as you were drinking lol) Side note if you think that Stanley looks familiar well he’s sorta famous. He was decapitate in Hangover 3, but I’m here to let you know he’s alive and well lol. We did the Vineyard Lunch Safari, but they have many alternatives that don’t cost as much and you see different things! If you live or are visiting the SoCal area I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary! You literally won’t regret it! Book it now at www.lasafaris.com!

Time for the Fashion!

Wine Tasting you dress up for, but a safari you need to be a little more comfortable. Although my outfit was cute it wasn’t to practical due to the high slits. I recommend wearing more of a Romper or a form-fitting dress for hopping in and out of those big safari jeeps! I wore a Blue Life crop top, skirt set that I purchased at Revolve along with a Brixton hat, Black Giving Key, & Jeffery Campbell Booties. I will say my shoe choice was on point. LADIES if you choose to do this safari do not wear crazy ass heels! You are walking through dirt and like I said earlier jumping out off a high jeep. So little booties are perfect for this tour!Attachment-1-2 copy.jpeg
